My interest is narrowly focused on tech and gaming. I like to cook now and again too.

I buy games on sale, usually between $3-5 USD. To put that into perspective, World of Warcraft came out in 2004 and I got the Battle Chest including Mists of Pandoria on sale for $5 in 2015 and this is the first time I've ever played it.

Since I play mostly on the PC, buying games on sale and ones that are essentially "OLD" almost insures my computer will be able to handle it by not being more dated than the game itself.
