It's about time for a revamp, I think. My name is Mercer. I've lived in most every country (except for the really cool ones). I enjoy travelling, but haven't (admittedly) done it in quite sometime.

I like writing. I like video games. I enjoy going out. I hate being cooped up. I'm willing to try just about anything once. Everyone that I have met has told me that I am something completely different than anyone they've ever met. I dig it.

I'm not on this site because I'm some crazy serial killer, or because I have weird fetishes. I'm on here because I think that dating is such a ----ing hassle, and I'm honestly sick of wasting my time and effort putting myself out there all the time. So, here, you can peruse as you see fit, and I don't really have to do anything.

I enjoy bad comedy/puns, fine wines and my dog Lola. I have a passion for old literature, a love of things mundane and banal, and a loud laugh.

I am one of the most dedicated, and driven individuals that you will ever meet. It's honestly amusing, because that trait is juxtaposed by overwhelming laziness.

I am a jumping point for many people and things, and I am fine with that. I enjoy experiencing life moment by moment. I feel like if you have fear of life, or fear of what's going to happen you're not really living, just waiting.

Give me rampant intellectualism as a coping mechanism.

I'm going to school at URI for an English and Writing and Rhetoric degree(s). I'm a published poet, but I don't think I'm going to take that too far, because I find most of the best poets aren't really acknowledged until after they're dead. I'm a bit too impatient for that kind of gratification. Someday I hope to write a memoir, but, we'll see. Also, a whole bunch of poets are pretentious and revel in their own self-loathing; I totally don't fit that scene.
