Since this is my first time trying the online dating thing, I don't really know what I'm doing here, but here goes... I have an amazing 9 year old daughter, I have a great career in the mental health field, and I'm a gamer.

My career is interesting to say the least. I love to learn and my job is one continuous learning experience. I love the fact that every day when I come in, it's something different. I have been in health care for about the last six years, but only in mental health for the last two and so far, I love it.

Outside of gaming, I like to do things to keep life interesting. I make a point of doing one thing every day that I have never done before. I tend to enjoy variety and I love a night out as much as a night spent in playing video games - especially during the fall. I love being outside during that time of year.

I also love to read (I have an extensive library) and I enjoy a good movie. My daughter and I have a movie night every other week when she is with me. While she gets to pick on those nights, my usual choices involve comedies (by far, my favorite genre) or fantasy/sci fi. True to my love of gaming and comedies, my favorite movie is "Grandma's Boy."

As expected, however, I spend a lot of my free time gaming. I don't do much console gaming (although I'm certainly not opposed to it) as I have spent the time and money upgrading my PC instead.
My favorite games are usually RPGs and tactical war games. Some favorites are Everquest 2, Guild Wars, Skyrim, The old Republic, and Starcraft.

I would like to find someone who is great with kids (or can at least accept that I have one), honest and loyal, and has great communication - someone who is also capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation. I'm not the type who wants to talk for hours on end, but I do want to be able to talk about anything.
