Seriously! If you want to be found you have to be more active like posting on the forum or creating topic! you cant just wait for people to dig up your profile and email you!

Unfortunately I don't think a forums section on a dating-themed site, will ever be popular. Forums in gaming-centric sites = yes, forums on a dating-centric site = no.
It might help if the forum moderators would jump start topics, if users aren't doing so. On my gaming website, if users aren't posting, then I do to make up for it (and it usually sparks replies). Also, if there is a lack of foum use, reduce the number of topic-forums. If you only have 20 people using the forums, and they're spread out over 30 topics it will look like a ghost town.

Good point.
I think a chat room might be more beneficial for a dating site.

`there is a chat room, just look at the tabs at the top and click on chat, then "open chat" No one's ever in there though, but the lobby's pretty much always full :)

I think that's why its advised to go on the forums. Smaller group of people, a little more intimate.
