I just got an XBOX 360 and of course I'm hooked on HALO 3 at the moment.
: I have a question for other XBOX 360 owners though. I haven't ever played a RTS game on a console, even though that is my favorite type of video game.
One of my favorite PC games was Command & Conquer. When I was buying HALO3, I noticed that there is now a C&C game for the XBOX360.
Does anyone have any experience with the C&C game on XBOX360? Or any other RTS console games (for the XBOX360)?

`Well, thats a sore subject for a number of reasons.
Only one game i know of coming to 360 is not a port; and thats halo wars (Which lately has had no new news i have heard). Both of the new CnC games have been ported along with universe at war (Which i played a demo of; I was not very impressed...)
The problem with ported games is that they were designed for using a mouse. Which allows much more freedom of movement and response. Ports require gamers to use controller buttons for hot keys, which can be quite heavy for people who rarely use hot buttons or cannot focus on so many buttons at once.
Which means the HUD has to be simplified. Usually by nerfing vital moments of the game. Such as Universe at war having TINY unit limits to supposedly make the game easier.
A xbox original title, goblin commander, was innovative, but suffered from being overly simple, along with low replay value and horrible AI. Strategy is great, but it is sadly becoming a dieing breed due to power gamers that can't deal with anything unkind to the simple man. (I am looking at the people who whined on the Bungie forums causing them to make health regenerate in halo 2).
In other words; if your looking for a amazing RTS game on console... don't hold your breath

`The mouse will always be the main tool of the RTS. I have C&C and I just can't get use to it, it makes me feel... um, limited. My roommates, however, seem to like it, and if I had more patience I could get use to it.
