I am an open minded gamer in every aspect of gaming and I have come to realize one thing. I know why Sega failed during the console wars.
I'm not gonna lie in saying that the master system was the tops for it's time but then the NES came out. I remember the genesis coming out saying that that it blows the NES out of the water graphics wise but gaming isn't all about the graphics. It stood head and tails with the genesis until the SNES came about. The genesis tried the Sega CD and 32X which failed miserably.
The thing that killed sega with the Genesis was the emphasis on graphics. I mean come on, they remade a lot of NES games after they were released (cough Double Dragon and Bart Vs The Space Mutants). Also Sonic was not the greatest game around. It's probably one of the most overrated games of all time. But I did love Beyond Oasis and Phantasy Star. If you ask me, the one thing that killed Sega in the console wars was Sega being way ahead of their time.
Thank you

`Well first off. The reason why sega failed is becuse they lost so much market with the 32x.cd and the saturn and they just lost to much. Expecially when sony came in... Also didnt you know that Sega was supporting 6 systems at once?????..... Also the sega dreamcast was a awsome system. Just no one trusted sega anymore after the saturn 32x and cd.
