Current events.. hmm.. how about those close to us?

Let's face it, most gamers don't peruse the news section even online, and the few that do tend not to care enough to post it for others because those people are likely to ignore it in turn, or have already seen it.
Gaming news however , is more relavant, but again most people would prefer to simply look at actual gaming newsites instead of looking in on here...So here's an idea, how about people start posting events that have happened closeby or in their town? I have nothing to report for my own at this time with shoddy memory and that fact that I'm a bit of a hermit, but it would be good I think for a few people to post those in this section to get it stirring a bit .

I'll try and put something in if I learn anything in my rare travels into the small town of Cave Junction I live in. I hope to see other's posting a little thing here and there sometime soon .

Yesterday there was a drive-by about a block away from my house. It was exciting, lol. I ran out the front door to see which minority got trigger happy. This dude with a biscuit chased after the car on foot.

Crime is silly here.

The city I live in is like RE2. Except instead of zombies there are crackheads. No matter how late it is they continue to march aimlessly by my house. I took up a rather interesting hobby. Taking out the screen in my bedroom window and sniping them from the second floor with a paintball gun. They never know where it's coming from. One night last month between four and six in the morning I engaged at least seven of them.

I can understand a little bit of recreational drug use but when you sell your tv for oxies you can only benefit from being shot in the throat a few times.

I'd like to think I help people.
